Review- The Fountain Inn

I very rarely go into The Fountain Inn, but have taken guests a couple of times lately and have enjoyed the meals and atmosphere every time. I had the Triple Decker Veggie Club (£5.49) with grilled halloumi, grilled peppers, lettuce, tomatoes and red pepper mayonnaise. My only small criticism is that for my taste, I would have preferred the bread to be toasted for a little bit longer.

My Father who was visiting had the Beef chilli, sour cream and jalapeno peppers jacket potato for £4.89. He enjoyed this very much, and it went down very nicely with a pint of Fosters.

The food was freshly made, the servings size were generous, but not overwhelming. It was lovely to sit in The Fountain on a cold crisp autumn day and to chat and watch the world go by.

  1. We have had a roast dinner in The Fountain Inn before now and I think, because we went after 5pm on a Sunday, it was buy one get one free!! Can’t go wrong with homemade yorkshires 🙂 Only sad thing is that they don’t seem to do live music anymore.
